THINGS WE LOVE: MODSCAPE FACTORY UP IN WESTERN LIGHTS

We love a good photography festival, so we were delighted when our Brooklyn factory recently starred in one.

Earlier this month our Brooklyn factory was asked to take part in the Art & Industry Festival. The Festival enables artists to develop work which is inspired by and engages the ever-changing industrial and manufacturing resources in the Hobsons Bay area.

A key event of the Festival was Western Lights in which artist Phil Lethlean lit up some of the West’s favourite industrial buildings and spaces. Locals and camera buffs alike ventured out after dark with cameras and smartphones to capture some of these luminously-dressed industrial beacons – including the Modscape factory.

The festival organisers will be selecting six winning photographs and printing them onto postcards to be used to promote the area. Keep an eye on the Art & Industry Festival’s Facebook page for more incredible photos to be posted in the coming weeks.

Our favourite is this gorgeous long-exposure shot (pictured above) captured by Matthew McKenzie.

We have loved seeing all of your creative and beautiful photographs showcasing this epic building in a very different light.
