Melbourne Now Exhibition
Could we expect anything less from the National Gallery of Victoria than an ambitious, cutting-edge, exhibition jam-packed full of Melbourne’s best designers? We think not.
Currently exhibiting at the Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia and NGV International, Melbourne Now is a celebration of innovation and creations in art, architecture, design, performance, and cultural practice that reflects the intricate, creative topography of Melbourne . . .
Melbourne Now is not just any old exhibition, it has exhibitions within exhibitions – as well as 175 individual and group presentations, a suite of special projects which extend from the visual arts to architecture and design, dance and choreography, performance and sound, commissions for children and families, and a Community Hall and garden inviting a wide range of community expression. There is even a Melbourne Now App that allows curious wanderers to explore the exhibition, plan itineraries, discover multimedia content and get all the scoop on where and when special activities and events are happening.
The Melbourne Now exhibition will run from 22 November 13 – 23 Mar 14, so there is no excuse not to go! For more information including exhibitions times, and a full list of works and events visit their website.
