Delivered for School Infrastructure NSW
As part of the broader New South Wales flood recovery program, Condong Public School provides permanent public education infrastructure for regional NSW communities impacted by the 2022 floods.
Similar to other flood recovery schools across the Northern Rivers region like Tumbulgum Public School, Blakebrook Public School, and Broadwater Public School, the learning spaces are elevated above ground level in response to the site’s flood conditions, creating a functional undercroft area for sheltered outdoor learning area and play.
Internally, the classrooms prioritise natural light, ventilation and durable finishes suited to contemporary education infrastructure. Built within a controlled factory environment before transport and installation onsite, the modular school buildings reduce weather delays, improve quality control and minimise material waste compared to traditional construction methods.
Permanent Modular School Buildings
Manufactured offsite by Modscape + Modbotics, the modular school buildings were delivered using an industrialised construction approach that enabled onsite works and factory manufacturing to occur simultaneously. This accelerated delivery while reducing disruption within the live school environment and improving program certainty across the project.
Condong Public School demonstrates how permanent modular school buildings can support rapid education infrastructure delivery without compromising on performance, durability or design quality. As demand grows for faster and more efficient school delivery across regional New South Wales, industrialised construction continues to play an increasingly important role in creating adaptable, high-quality learning environments for local communities.
