The clients came to us with an existing set of plans and a clear vision for their new home in Epping, a leafy suburb in Sydney’s north-west. Our architectural team are reimagining the design from the ground up, adapting it for modular design and shaping a bespoke home that is uniquely their own.

Passive house principles are central to the design direction, prioritising thermal comfort, exceptional indoor air quality, and enduring energy performance. Formal certification is being explored as a potential pathway, with orientation, building fabric, and mechanical systems considered carefully from the outset.

Sustainability is central to the brief. The integration of solar power, high-performance window systems, and carefully considered building fabric will work together to reduce energy consumption, minimise heat loss, and lower the home’s environmental footprint over the long term.

Air quality carries particular weight for the clients as we explore advanced ventilation strategies and air filtration options to ensure the home actively supports wellbeing, keeping allergens and pollutants to a minimum while maintaining a fresh, breathable interior throughout the year.

The result will be a home that performs as beautifully as it looks, one that is precise in its construction, considered in its detail, and designed to be genuinely comfortable in every season.
