Taking Recycling to a New Level: Greenline Project Hub

Set within Melbourne’s vibrant Federation Square, the Greenline Project Hub is a powerful example of adaptive reuse in action. The transformation began with the relocation of Mirvac Display Suite modules to Modscape factory. There, they were retrofitted to accommodate a new office, small kitchen, accessible toilet and meeting room, before being delivered and installed onsite.

At Modscape, we often encourage developer to create a display suite that is a singular form architecturally, as it provides the greatest opportunity for the structure to be reused and repurposed for a second life – exactly as seen in the Greenline Project Hub.

From the outset, the focus was on retaining as much of the original building as possible. This commitment to reuse helped to minimise waste and maximise material efficiency, highlighting the enduring strength and adaptability of modular construction. By separating and upgrading the four modules, we’ve extended the building’s life – and it’s purpose – for many years to come.
