New South Wales
Rural Doctors / Key Worker Accommodation
Project Specifications
Colorbond metal roofing & cladding, Silvertop ash decking, High raking ceilings, Comfortable, homely interior finishes, Astra Walker bathroom fixtures, High end appliances
Part of a larger program that enables and promotes health rotations across the state of New South Wales, the twenty-two modules were installed across regional sites: Armidale, Glenn Innes, Gunnedah, Inverell, Scone, Quirindi, and Walcha.
Encompassed in a single module, the 75sqm accommodation units include a full kitchen, study, living area, bathroom, laundry, bathroom and separate bedroom. Decks at each end of the modules enable indoor-outdoor living for users, framing each site’s rural surroundings and providing privacy.
Containing the building envelope to a single module ensured that each one could be delivered to site fully completed, while also allowing the buildings to be moved at a later date should hospital requirements change.
Designed by Modscape to be secure, comfortable and sustainable, each modular unit provides typically busy medical professionals with high quality, self-contained accommodation, while also helping to attract more general practitioners to regions that need them the most.
