Modular Education Buildings for Regional NSW

Set within the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Tumbulgum Public School forms part of the broader flood recovery response delivered for the community following the 2022 floods. Designed and delivered for School Infrastructure NSW, the permanent modular education buildings provide contemporary learning environments while minimising disruption to the community.

Delivered using Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), the modular school buildings were manufactured within a controlled factory environment before being transported and installed onsite. This approach reduced construction timeframes, improved quality control and provided greater program certainty.

Permanent School Infrastructure

The new education facilities are designed to support long-term learning outcomes, balancing durability, flexibility and contemporary education standards. Careful consideration was given to natural light, ventilation and the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces to create calm, functional environments for students and staff.

As part of Modscape + Modbotics’ broader education portfolio, the project demonstrates how modular construction can deliver permanent, high-quality school infrastructure efficiently – particularly in regional and disaster recovery contexts where speed, certainty and reduced site impact are critical.
