Our Inner Melbourne Home & Landscape in The Media

Australian House & Garden recently celebrated our inner Melbourne project – showcasing thoughtful landscaping by Andy Murray Landscape Design that evolves with the seasons.

At Modscape, we often complete and photograph a project while our clients are still planning their landscaping, leaving us to imagine how the home will eventually settle into its surroundings. It was a wonderful surprise to see the inner Melbourne home we completed back in 2022 featured in last month’s Australian House & Garden, showcasing how beautifully it has integrated with its landscape.

This contemporary family home was designed to seamlessly balance form and function, offering a light-filled sanctuary that feels connected to its natural surroundings. From bright summer blooms to the soft sway of autumn grasses, it is designed to be enjoyed from both inside and outside the home – a constantly changing delight for the homeowners.

While the house came together in just weeks, the lush garden – designed by the talented Andy Murray from Andy Murray Landscape Design, has since grown into a calming private oasis in the heart of the city.

Beautifully captured by Erik Holt, this home exemplifies how intentional landscaping can elevate a design, bringing greenery, light, and life into every room. Whether it’s the glow of northern sunlight filtering through the courtyards or the seamless integration of indoor and outdoor spaces, this residence is a modern retreat that balances architectural precision with natural serenity.
